It's great that we can put a spending limit or ala carte restriction on an account, but a lot of parents don't want their kiddos to make any type of cash purchase outside of a complete lunch. Any limit we put on an account still allows for cash purchases. If there was an option that would completely block a purchase it would benefit the cashiers trying to keep track of all the different limits and restrictions for so many students and would help parents better manage their student's eating habits and finances.
