It would be nice if there was a more in-your-face notification that an EzMealApp is submitted.
Depending on your environment especially if you're a smaller school, you may not find yourself looking at the dashboard very closely to notice new applications.
I propose 1) an email notification to chosen users when new apps are submitted and 2) An optional popup alert in eTrition that specifically calls out that new Applications are needing processed.
Alternatively to a popup you could have a small colorful banner bar that appears at the top of eTrition's interface.
Thinking about it, the popup alert/banner might even be more preferable so no unnecessary private information is leaving eTrition itself.

What we can do is add an 'alert' to our existing dashboard alerts that a user can subscribe to
there will be an option to just pop it up on the dashboard OR alternately send an email.
only users with access to EZMealApp processing will be able to set this alert
in the alert we can just state that a new application has been submitted so we don't actually send any application information
