When entering data as a receipt the "unit of measure" should be constant Case quantities, also the Adjustment value should be positive. When entering data as a daily negative production item the "unit of measure" should be an Each quantity, also the adjustment value should stay negative.

We do have options in the inventory configuration to always use the default uom
and we also have an option on the adjustment type to make it auto negative so you do not have to type a minus sign (negative number) when using a reason code that represents usage or spoilage.
