Parents should be able to transfer funds from one child's acct to another child's acct on EZSchoolPay.

It would be very beneficial if parents could be given the capability to transfer balances within their household. It would alleviate the time they have to wait for us to process it and the time it takes us to process the requests.

eTrition itself is real time as long as the sites are online. EZSchoolPay communicates with eTrition every few minutes so it is near real-time I agree that MOST of the time it would be okay, especially outside of serving periods. But the possibility does exist so we have to account for it.

Thank you again for your feedback. I'll PIN this item on the idea portal to promote it.

It seems like they could do transfers before or after school hours and the
balance should be current. Etrition is supposed to be real time for
balances but we are finding out it really isn't.

Thank you for your submission. This is definitely something that has been discussed. One of the challenges is that EZSP displays balances from eTrition and isn't the 'source' of the balance. Balances are calculated based on the sum of the transactions in eTrition. A student could make a purchase and deplete a balance at the same time the parent requests to transfer funds from it to another account, etc. They could attempt to transfer an amount that no longer is available to transfer. We would likely have to build a way to 'request' a transfer but be able to reject it if it can't be completed once the request is sent to eTrition to prevent ever transferring an amount that would exceed an actual balance.
