meals stored in browser history if pos goes offline

My question is, there has to be another way to grab those meals without the exact employee logging back in to the program. Can the engineers put something in the program that stores the meals a different way? I know that things aren't always possible or easier than they sound but if we hadn't remembered who was logged into the pos, we wouldn't have been able to recover those meals.
