It would be helpful to have an option on the online meal application, before any income information is entered, for an applicant to select, “I do not wish to apply/qualify.”
This would provide an option for families who do not wish to disclose their income and do not intend to apply for meal benefits. It would also help prevent those families from receiving reminder communications from the district asking them to complete a meal application.
